Neighbourhood Watch has a communication organisation that uses email and a cascade system to promulgate messages to members. The majority of Co-ordinators have email, and on receipt of messages they generally forward them on to their scheme members by either email or hand message.
Each week the Police promulgate a report on crime in the Meon Valley area, and, at our request, anti-social behaviour in Denmead over the previous week. These reports are passed on to Co-ordinators and others who request them by the Denmead NW Committee using the Neighbourhood Watch email and cascade system. Equally alerts and security information generated by the Police or other responsible persons area also forwarded.
This system is now being expanded to allow messages to be forwarded to the wider Denmead community. Anyone who wishes to be added to the email distribution of not just the Police reports and alerts, but also general messages about important meetings and activities in Denmead, should send an email to denmead@dircon.co.uk stating their name, email address and the area of the Parish where they live. This system will also be used as part of the communications in the unlikely event of a major emergency affecting the village.
