Denmead Youth Partnership celebrated the achievements of local young people with their youth awards on 18 July. Award categories included sport, arts & crafts, performance arts, life skills (cookery & computing), personal development and community involvement. The awards were handed out by District Councillor Patricia Stallard and Cllr Neil Lander-Brinkley – chairman of the Parish Council. Afterwards the young people took part in a Denmead’s Got Talent contest which was won by William Wall and Josh OHalloran for their innovative Yoyo and Light Display.

DYP is proud to support the local youth and hope that as well as the junior youth club they will shortly be in a position to reopen the Senior Youth Club on a Wednesday night.

Following the end of term a group of young people from DYP have just spent a week of adventure activities in Cardigan Bay where they experienced surfing, climbing, coasteering and sea kayaking amongst their activities.
