Denmead’s community policing is looked after by a Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team based on Bishops Waltham Police Station. The Winchester East area, which is run from Bishops Waltham, is divided into three areas, Meon Valley North, Meon Valley and Meon Valley South. Denmead is in Meon Valley South, along with Whiteley, Knowle, Wickham, Soberton, Soberton Heath, Newtown, Hambledon, Boarhunt and Southwick.

Beat Surgeries. Please note that the Beat Surgeries by our Police Safer Neighbourhood Team in Denmead are about to change. The Police will still base themselves in the car park at All Saints Church, but the timings are now to be on alternate Saturdays from 4pm to 5pm. The first of these surgeries will be on 23 January 2010, thence 6 and 20 Feb, etc.
The Safer Neighbourhood Team are there to support you, and will offer advice or answer queries as best they can. If you have a problem or ideas on improving security in the village talk to them and seek their advice.
