You are summoned to attend a meeting of the HIGHWAYS AND GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE of the PARISH COUNCIL OF DENMEAD as detailed below:

TIME, DATE AND LOCATION: 7.30 pm Wednesday 10 February 2010 in The Old School, School Lane, Denmead.
MEMBERS: Cllrs: Bendall, Browton, Gibbs, Hallett, Harrison, Knight (Chairman), Lander-Brinkley, C Phillips & Reed.
A G E N D A
1. Apologies: To receive apologies.
2. Declarations of Interest: Arising from this Agenda, Members and Officers are invited to declare any relevant interests. Not withstanding this item, Members may subsequently declare an interest at any point during the meeting.
3. Minutes of Previous Meeting: To receive and confirm the accuracy of the Minutes of the previous meeting held on 16 December 2009.
4. CCTV: To receive a presentation from Mr Andy Hickman, Winchester City Council.
5. Police: To receive reports from the police (if in attendance).
6. Public Participation: The meeting will, if necessary, recess for not more than 15 minutes for questions and comments from members of the public on matters appertaining to this committee.
7. Burial Ground:
a) Applications: To note the list of applications received since 16 December 2009 (copy attached).
b) Natural (Woodland) Burial Ground: To receive any update.
c) Replacement Gates: Awaiting installation by the ground staff. To note.
d) To consider any other matters relating to the Burial Ground.
8. Footpaths Sub-Committee:
a) Minutes: No meeting has been held. To note.
b) Matters Arising: To discuss and determine action to be taken on any matters arising.
c) Outstanding Matters: To discuss and determine action to be taken on any outstanding matters.
9. Matters Arising and Outstanding Matters from previous Minutes:
a) Naming of Greenways and Walks: To receive any update.
b) Location of Bottle Banks within Denmead: To receive any update.
10. Correspondence Received: To receive, consider and determine action to be taken on correspondence received and not covered elsewhere in this agenda.
11. Traffic Matters:
a) Road Safety:
i) The Heath j/w Hambledon Road & Denmead Infants School: An email (copy attached) has been received from WCC. To note.
ii) Provision of Grit Bins: Correspondence (attached) regarding the provision of grit bins has been received. To discuss and determine action to be taken.
iii) 30 mph Repeater Signs: Copy correspondence (attached) has been received from the Denmead Village Association regarding the placing of 30 mph Repeater Signs. To note.
12. Lighting:
a) Private Finance Initiative: To receive any update.
13. Hampshire Fire & Rescue Road Show: At the Safer Neighbourhood Panel held on 28 January 2010 members were informed that Hampshire Fire & Rescue hold Road Safety Road Shows and it was suggested that Denmead might be able to stage such an event. It was referred to this meeting for consideration. To discuss and determine action to be taken.
