MEMBERS: Cllrs: Browton, Gibbs, Hallett, Harrison, Knight, Lander-Brinkley, C Phillips & Reed (Chairman).
A G E N D A
1. Apologies: To receive apologies.
2. The Election of a Vice-Chairman of the Highways and General Purposes Committee: To elect a Vice-chairman for the Highways and General Purposes Committee for the municipal year 2010-2011.
3. Declarations of Interest: Arising from this Agenda, Members and Officers are invited to declare any relevant interests. Not withstanding this item, Members may subsequently declare an interest at any point during the meeting.
4. Minutes of Previous Meeting: To receive and confirm the accuracy of the Minutes of the previous meeting held on 5 May 2010.
5. Police: To receive reports from the police (if in attendance).
6. Public Participation: The meeting will, if necessary, recess for not more than 15 minutes for questions and comments from members of the public on matters appertaining to this committee.
7. Burial Ground:
a) Applications: To note the list of applications received since 24 March 2010 (copy attached).
b) Natural (Woodland) Burial Ground: To receive any update.
c) Tree Plaques: (Current regulations attached) To receive a report.
d) To consider any other matters relating to the Burial Ground.
8. Footpaths Sub-Committee:
a) Minutes: None available.
b) Matters Arising: To discuss and determine action to be taken on any matters arising.
c) Outstanding Matters: To discuss and determine action to be taken on any outstanding matters.
9. Matters Arising and Outstanding Matters from previous Minutes:
a) Greenways: Signs for Woodrow Green and The Willows have been ordered. To note.
10. Correspondence Received: To receive, consider and determine action to be taken on correspondence received and not covered elsewhere in this agenda.
11. Traffic & Road Matters:
a) Road Safety:
i) The Heath j/w Hambledon Road & Denmead Infants School: To receive any update.
ii) SSE Sub-station: A sign has been placed. To discuss and determine any further action.
iii) Bunkers Hill – Access to Creech Wood: To receive any update.
b) Road Repairs:
i) Closewood Road: An email (copy attached) has been received from Hampshire County Council regarding Closewood Road. To note.
ii) Southwick Road: To receive any update.
12. Village Centre:
a) Maintenance: To consider the long term maintenance of trees and barriers.
b) Bollards: To consider the replacement of the wooden bollards.
13. Lengthsman: To consider the appointment of a Lengthsman.
