Are you fed up with this? Vehicles causing an obstruction of the footways in Denmead are becoming an increasing problem within the village. We have been advised by the police that incidents of this kind should be reported to them and the details that they require are the registration number, make and model of the vehicle together with the time, date and location and if possible a description of the driver. The police have suggested that anyone taking details should not be overt in doing so as some drivers react badly to this. Once you have the details they can either be telephoned through to the police by using the 101 number or 0845 045 45 45 or by emailing details to meon.valley.south.snt@hampshire.pnn.police.uk If you are able to obtain photographic evidence this will also be welcomed. We have been assured that the police do spend time identifying the drivers and telephoning them to give a warning or taking the matter further for persistent offenders.
