DENMEAD HORSE SHOW - SUNDAY 5 SEPTEMBER
Location: Forest Road (opposite Grubb & Banks). In the fields opposite the houses on Forest Road between Inhams Lane and the Soutwick Road roundabout.
Times:
• All rings start 9.00 am except ring 3 which is 9.30 am
• Gates open for competitors & tradestands from about 7.15 am
• Secretarys tent: 8.00 am
• General public from about 8.45 am
The horse show has 7 rings covering lots of different types of showing classes, show jumping and games. There are also tradestands /stalls /refreshments.
It is a good day out and only costs £2 per car.
Denmead Swings & Things have been running the horse shows to raise funds for Denmead Youth Projects - playground equipment, Denmead Activity Nights (junior youth club) funding, etc - since 1993.
With Government cutbacks and the loss of the grant streams previously accessed, this is more important than ever - but we need help to keep going.
HELP WANTED
* ON Saturday 4 September to help set up.
A show this size needs considerable help to get the rings, show jumps and tents set up - if you can please come along on Saturday morning 10 am to help
* ON Sunday 5 September help wanted for
o Traffic management
o Car Park
o Catering tent
o Stewards - if you are horsey and would like to be more involved
o After 5.00 pm clear up party to get the essential parts (eg tents and main rings) taken down.
STALLS
We still have room for a few more small stalls if you are a local crafter / group.
